When a report is made about a student or staff member, there are procedures that will be followed. The reporting party may wish to speak to the Advice Zone (students) or HR (staff) to discuss their options for informal or formal resolution.
Informal resolution
The reported person will be contacted by an appropriate member of USW staff, for example a tutor or manager, to attempt to resolve the matter.
Formal resolution
If the person whose behaviour was reported is a student, the matter will be investigated under the Student Conduct Procedure. If the person whose behaviour was reported is a member of staff, an investigation will take place under the Staff Grievance Procedure or the Student Complaints Procedure.
